Nina Guevara is a visual and performing artist, born and raised in San Francisco, California. She graduated from Mason Gross School of the Arts with a Dance BFA in 2020 and currently lives in Brooklyn, New York.
Nina began cultivating her mixed-media sculpture practice at the Art Student's League of New York in January of 2024, under the mentorship of Bruce Dorfman. In the fall of 2025, she paused her practice at the Art Student’s League and now shares an art studio in Brooklyn with quilt-maker and multi-disciplinary artist Emma Singer. Through her art practice, Nina manipulates craft and found materials to describe the movement of joy, anger, fear and grief through the body. Nina has presented her sculptural works at house shows organized by Emma Singer in 2024 and Stephanie Acosta in 2025, along side Ethan Philbrick and Luna Valerie Martin.
As a dancer/performer, Nina has performed in works created by Isaac Pool, Jessie Young, Mia Martelli, Noa Rui-Piin Weiss, Stephanie Acosta, Jo Warren, and Alexa Grae. In July of 2025, she performed a self-developed solo at the Philadelphia Fringe Festival along side Chaia (Yiddish Electronic), Samira Mendoza, Shana Crawford, and Vyette Tiya in an evening of music and dance organized by Mikah Simone Akerib.
